The Universidad de San Andrés (Saint Andrew's University; cf. St Andrews University, without possessive apostrophe) is an Argentine university located in the town of Victoria, Buenos Aires on the shores of the Rio de la Plata, in the metropolitan area of Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is a small private institution, with approximately 700 undergraduate students and approximately 500 graduate students. The library has more than 70,000 volumes.

The main campus is located in the town of Victoria, San Fernando Partido in the suburban area north of Buenos Aires. It also has a building in Buenos Aires, near the commercial and banking district.

History

The university is a daughter institution of the St. Andrew's Scots School, founded by Scottish immigrants in 1838.

The university is named after Saint Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland, and its crest is composed of the Saltire, the flag of Scotland, and thistles, the national flower of Scotland.
