Suzanne Middle School is one of fifteen schools, including three middle schools, in the Walnut Valley Unified School District. It is a three-time California Distinguished School honoree in the years 1990, 1996, and 2001[1].
Statistics
There is currently an enrollment of 1,495 students as well as a full-time teaching staff of approximately 58 teachers for a student-teacher ratio of 30 students per 1 teacher. Average class size remains at 30-33 students per class.[2]

API Results
The Academic Performance Index (API) system documents a school's academic performance by comparing year-to-year test scores over a two-year cycle. Recently, the 2006 Growth of Suzanne Middle School ranked at 895 in comparison to the 2005 Base at 874, with a growth result of 21 that met its state-assigned 2006 schoolwide growth target.[3] Suzanne Middle School has met its 2006 subgroup growth target of 913 in 2008.
