Not really (Can you tell we weren't enthusiastically looking forward to doing this?) I'd start by looking under {{cl|Lists of Registered Historic Places by state}} for unrenamed articles (I don't know if AWB can do moves or not; I had some problems with it a while back and haven't used it since). == mistake in NRHP list naming ==

Hi -- You renamed "List of Registered Historic Places in California" to [[List of Registered Historic Places listings in California]]. That's NOT anyone's proposal, that's NOT directly analogous to the renamings being done by Daniel Case for New York county lists or by others in other states. Please look at it more carefully. Insults

I've just received insults posted on my talk page[1] by 24.67.253.203. Could you take care of this issue? Thanks! Kansas Bear (talk) 15:16, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is there anything you can do about 24.67.253.203 removing referenced material from the Murad Guman article?[2]. Thanks. Kansas Bear (talk) 04:37, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction

Since you're in right now, I'd like to drop by to say hi. I'm a relatively new member of WP:WPTC, and I'm getting to know most of the members by introducing myself to them; I've already introduced myself to Elena85, Hurricanehink, and Yellow Evan, so you make four. I joined the project as a result of my passion for tropical cyclones which began as a result of the one and only 2005 Atlantic hurricane season. After three years, my passion remains strong, and I am already planning my first tropical cyclone article; it will be on this year's Norbert in the Eastern Pacific, which I will begin in my sandbox once it is named.

Two more things. Feel free to take breaks in between reading them.

Copyright problem

Don't worry, you're not in trouble. But I have a question; let's just say there's a copyrighted album cover. Is it fair use to use the cover in a userbox that praises the album? I can't publish the userbox until I know whether or not it's fair use to do so.

There should be no praising going on. This is an encyclopedia, not a fan club. As for non-free use of album covers, you may want to look at other non-free album covers on Wikipedia. Image:The_Beatles_1_album_cover.jpg is a good example. Plasticup T/C 23:18, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, see Wikipedia:User_page#Images_on_user_pages, which states "Do not include non-free images on your user page". Emphasis in the original. Plasticup T/C 23:39, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fake hurricanes

My passion for hurricanes has successfully affected my imagination. I've created my own hurricanes on an imaginary planet. Hurricane seasons on my fake planet are being contributed to by Elena85 and I, and Yellow Evan is currently under a yellow light. We currently have seasons for 1979, 1984, 1985, 1990,2002, and 1995, of which 2002, 1984, and 1990 are currently under construction You can join in if you want, and if you do, contact me on my talk page. I will then notify Elena85 (and possibly Yellow Evan).

I'll let you respond from there. Great logo! Dylan620 Life story 22:53 UTC October 2, 2008

Bruce Castle redlinks

Can you please not remove the redlinks on Bruce Castle; as Lords and MPs, they're members of a national legislature and all automatically notable by Wikipedia consensus, and I'm just waiting for Kittybrewster and BrownHairedGirl to fill in the redlinks. – iridescent 01:33, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article “Mexico, Illinois” has been turned into a redirect. However, please take note of my remark on the article talk page. —SlamDiego←T 01:36, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for entering. You can now start choosing your topics and lists. However, you will not be able to submit contest related FLCs until October 10 at 20:00 GMT. -- Scorpion0422 03:35, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Foxy Loxy's RfA

Hello, this message is to inform you that User:Foxy Loxy has restarted their RfA. The new discussion is located at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Foxy Loxy 2. GlassCobra 10:02, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks: You are most welcome!

Julian,

Just wanted to say you're welcome for your RfA thanks. Nobody has deserved this more than you ... I see you made the WP:100. Cool!

On other areas, I was up the Catskills hiking with my son Tuesday and finally got the pic for the Route 28 article (curving road in front of Balsam Mountain, looking west) that I was hoping to get for it. If you'd like me to add it soon, let me know; otherwise it's at the back of my picture queue and I doubt I'll be adding it before this year is up.

I am currently stuck on a computer where I'm working where I can't get JavaScript to work right, so in the absence of polishing some of my older Nelsonville NRHP articles as I've been doing lately I may actually have to get around to writing that route description for that article as I promised you I would. Imagine that! Daniel Case (talk) 15:16, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Over at WP:NRHP, we recently came to consensus (a month after the issue was first raised) on what we should rename the many "List of Registered Historic Places in ..." articles to (since "Registered Historic Places" is a term the National Park Service doesn't use, nor does anyone in the historic preservation community. It's now to be (as you've probably noticed) "National Register of Historic Places listings in ...". You're certainly welcome to help (We'll be working on the categories later). Daniel Case (talk) 15:33, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not really (Can you tell we weren't enthusiastically looking forward to doing this?) I'd start by looking under Category:Lists of Registered Historic Places by state for unrenamed articles (I don't know if AWB can do moves or not; I had some problems with it a while back and haven't used it since).
