He has appeared on Broadway dancing behind [[Rudolph Nureyev]] and the [[Joffrey Ballet]] and if you look closely you can see him in such films as [[The Chosen]], [[Zelig]], and [[Risky Business]]. Stan Zimmerman is a writer, producer, creator, and director of Television, Theatre, and Film. Alongside writing partner, James Berg, he has written for many television series including The Golden Girls, Roseanne, and The Gilmore Girls and feature films such as The Brady Bunch Movie and A Very Brady Sequel. Zimmerman/Berg are currently the Creators and Executive Producers of the Lifetime Television sitcom, Rita Rocks, starring Nicole Sullivan and Tisha Campbell Martin.
Zimmerman is originally from Southfield, Michigan where he began writing for his junior high school newspaper. He has appeared on Broadway dancing behind Rudolph Nureyev and the Joffrey Ballet and if you look closely you can see him in such films as The Chosen, Zelig, and Risky Business. Stan worked in casting before moving to Los Angeles, where he's been part of one of the longest running comedy writing teams, Zimmerman & Berg. The duo has received two WGA nominations - one for The Golden Girls and one for the infamous lesbian kiss episode of Roseanne.
Stan made his stage directing debut with the 30th Anniversary Revival of Gemini, then mounted A Tuna Christmas, starring Mindy Sterling and Patrick Bristow, at Theatre Asylum in Los Angeles. He has also dabbled in directing film with the music video for Whore's Mascara's "All I Want."
He also appeared, along with Maxine Lapiduss, on Bravo's Situation: Comedy as runner/executive producers.
