Cypraea pantherina, commonly known as the panther cowry, is a species of large tropical sea snail, a cowry, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Cypraeidae, the cowries.

The panther cowry is found on the ocean floor in the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea. [1] Shells of Cypraea pantherina have been found tombs in the Rhine valley dated to 6 BCE. [2]

This species is related to, and looks very similar to Cypraea tigris.
