Tomaj (Italian: Tomadio) is a village in the Sežana Municipality in the Littoral region of Slovenia.[2]

The Parish Church in the settlement is dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul and belongs to the Diocese of Koper. A second church is a small building next to the cemetery and is dedicated to The Virgin Mary.[3]

Tomaj was the village where the Slovene poet Srečko Kosovel spent his childhood.
