Inspector Gadget 2 is a film from Inspector Gadget. It is a sequel from the Disney movie Inspector Gadget.

Template:Spoilers It begins when Inspector Gadget (French Stewart) and his Gadgetmobile (voiced by D.L. Hughley) are keeping an eye out for threats. When an old lady drives, Gadget uses his Gadget Radar to measure the speed limit. After passing the sign saying ' Speed Limit: 25 ', Gadget finds out that the old lady is doing a reckless driving, because she goes to ' 25.3 '. Gadget asks the old lady to see the license, but she left it at home, and arrests her. At the police department, Gadget asks Penny (Caitlin Wachs) that why she is not at school.

The reason why Penny is not at school, because she wanted to solve mysteries with her uncle, but Gadget tells her that she is too young. Penny asks Gadget why he is arresting an old lady. Gadget answers her that she is having a reckless drive. Chief Quimby (Mark Mitchell) tells Gadget that he is making a mistake, because it was his mother who was in jail. Quimby tells Gadget to remember why he had just arrested a bunch of girl scouts, who are selling cookies. Meanwhile, at Riverton Prison, Dr. Claw (Tony Martin) makes a daring escape from prison.

After Claw's escape, Mayor Wilson (Sigrid Thornton) makes G2, a female robot that can function normally. Gadget begins to fall in love with her. Meanwhile, at an abondoned bowling factory, Claw tells his henchmen, McKibble and Brick that he plans to steal some gold from the United States treasury. To do that, he must have the fuel cells, the laser, and a super ruby to complete the device, and aim it at the satellite to point at Riverton. At the police department, Gadget asks Penny why is she not at school. Penny tells Gadget that she graduates already.

To look for Claw, Gadget disguises himself as a pirate to look for Claw, but failed when his disguise fall off. G2 saves him, and Quimby tells him to make 100 yards. At the warehouse, G2 tries to stop Claw's minions from getting the fuel cells, but failed when Gadget intervined. At the police station, Quimby orders Gadget to clean up the toilets. At the science convention, Gadget's gadget are messing up and tries to call his Gadgetmobile, who is sleeping.

Brain got evidence from one of Claw's minions when they steal the battery. At the police department, Quimby fires Gadget from the job. At Gadget's house, Penny asks Gadget why he is throwing away his trench coat and the hat, and Gadget answers that he got fired from the job. When Penny asks Gadget that she is helpful, Gadget tells that that she is still too young. Meanwhile, Claw has his plan in motion, but he needs a super ruby for the machine.

Penny examines the evidence, while Gadget is fired from every job he gets to. Penny finds Claw's hideout: at an abandoned bowling factory. Penny infiltrates the hideout, but failed when Claw captures her. At the gala, Gadget gets his job as a limo driver who opens doors for the guests. Inside the gala, Claw activates the laughing gas to keep the people busy, and stealing the super ruby. After G2's failure, Quimby decided to deactivate G2.

Gadget went to the police department to reactivate G2. Gadget put on his Gadget suit to get back at the job. Brain tells them that Claw has kidnapped Penny. Outside, Claw acivates his machine, which it was hidden in an ice cream truck. The time has stopped to get the gold from the United States treasury.

At the treasury, Claw orders his minions to attack Gadget and G2 to get away. Gadget and G2 decided to switch chips to make Gadget work fine, leaving G2 to get use with the glitches. Gadget chases after Claw in the ice cream truck. Claw drops Penny off the truck with the explosives attach so that Gadget could rescue her before stopping Claw. At the bridge, Gadget stops Claw with the bubble gum.

When Gadget orders Claw to put his hand and his claw up, Claw makes an escape with an escape pod, saying " I'll get you next time, Gadget! Next time!". Gadget and G2 puts everything back to normal. At the police department, Quimby congratulates the two for foiling Claw's scheme. At the ball, a rocket launches to Quimby and Wilson. The rocket stops and explodes. The two said "Gadget!".

Gadget is clueless, and Dr. Claw's face is never seen, except his mouth.
