Darryl Lynn "DL" Hughley (born March 6, 1963 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor , stand-up comedian and screenwriter .

Life

He started his career with programs in small clubs. In the 1990s he had a few guest appearances in successful series such as The Prince of Bel-Air (1993) and Sister, Sister (1997). In the American sitcom Alone Among Neighbors , he played the leading role of Darryl Hughley from 1998 to 2002 . In the television series Scrubs in 2003, he took on the role of Kevin Turk , Christopher Turk's brother.
