Horst Widmann

Horst Widmann (born August 8, 1938 in Leoben , Austria ) is an Austrian artist.

Life

Between 1959 and 1963 he studied at the art college in Linz , and has lived and worked in Paris since 1964 . Around 1980 he began to process his first X-ray images, which were then printed using the phototype process in the Arte print shop. Part of it was exhibited in 1992 in the “ Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris ”. The great progress in the digitization of images in 1990 influenced Horst Widmann to rework his X-ray images and at the same time to expand the range. His radiographic technology enables us to get closer to the elementary nature of things and brings the invisible into focus. The images give the viewer a “completely new view”.
