John Langstrother was a royal treasurer, [1] a prior and administrator of St Johns of Jerusalem in England,[2] and about the year 1470 was appointed Preceptor of Balsall [3] A son of Thomas Langstrother of Crosswaite, he supported the House of Lancaster during the War Of the Roses and to this end he was executed sometime after 1471.
