Roy Hendry Thomson KStJ, DL, MA (Hons) was born on 1932-08-27. He attended Aberdeen Grammar School and gained an MA (honours) in psychology from the University of Aberdeen. National Service: Gordon Highlanders 1955-1957. He is a Knight of the Order of St John and Deputy Lord Lieutenant of the City of Aberdeen.
