Holla, trying to cop a filch??

I rule. Sorry coopdawg, not trying to cramp your style, just having a little fun ...

Thanks for stopping by

Yeah, Oslo is quite nice. At least now in the summer when it's not too cold. Swedish is about the same as Norwegian and Norwegians have no problem understanding it. Shanes 02:51, 25 July 2005 (UTC)

reverting

You seem to know how to revert. You just put the article back to the old version by whatever method you choose. If the change is a word or two the easiest way may be simply re-editing the page. If there are many changes, look at the history page (click on the history tab) and find the last version that was good. You can then edit the old version (you'll get a warning that you are editing an old version). At that point all you have to do is enter a comment saying that you are reverting and click on "Save page". Administrators (WP:ADMIN) have an easier way to revert (I'm not an admin.) Let me know if you have any other questions. -- Samuel Wantman 05:01, 25 July 2005 (UTC)

Wikipedia Criticism

There are some good articles on Wikipedia criticism but my main issue is with the process and that any attempt to eliminate incivility is condemned even though those that condemn agree that it is out of line - if it is out of line then it should be gone. Good luck in Physics - it is a great field of study - re my name - see [old version of my user page]. I still read once in a while under Trodel - my original name before I realized you could have a "ö" in a username. I encourage you to focus on editing articles and making articles more scholarly - and stay away from the petty disputes and controversial and forever reversion wars that exist here.

IKEA-bilden

Hej!

Wiki Stuff

Hi, thanks for your contributions. I noticed you've been around for a while but never been formally welcomed so:

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --JYolkowski // talk 3 July 2005 13:41 (UTC)

Hey Coop!

Brad Boydston here (brad@boydston.us). I don't know if you remember but your parents introduced us at some dinner during either Midwinter or Annual Meeting.

I've been editing on the ECC page a bit off and on for awhile. I really don't do much else. Send me email sometime for more extensive updates. Thanks!

Brad

Hookah, Israel

Thanks! The page is starting to look good; I think once we get some sources other than Kamal Chaouachi and touch up the article, it might be ready for a peer review/featured article status.

Jews in Israel love the hookah — "nargila" in Hebrew. It's an easy place to visit, definitely not at all as it is portrayed in the news. Everywhere along the coast is nice, plus smaller spots in the interior. Jerusalem is too much for me.

Good luck on finals (and TFA!); if you do make it to Haifa, drop me an e-mail. --Mgreenbe 10:23, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

hey man.

Summertime has just arrived, with a 32°C (=90°F) max temperature today. I noticed you have applied for Teach for America, which sounds like a great program. Do people who do the 2 years generally end up becoming teachers?

Does Sweden have a strict naming conventon for their citezens? I know Denmark does and I think I heard something in the news about it in Sweden but I'm not sure. I couldn't find an answer in Culture of Sweden.--Commander Keane 04:57, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

Hello, mate, I see that you are interested in Eurovision. Would you like to be involved in connecting with more eurovision wikipedians to do up the eurovision pages in a more coherent manner? I have come across the Eurovision wikiproject page, which seems to have been dormant for over two years. It may be an idea to have a look there and see how we could improve the eurovision coverage. I have done up the Congratulations (Eurovision) page so far and put notes about it on the pages of those who performed there. Best regards from Australia, Blnguyen 06:50, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Danforth web.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Danforth web.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 22:29, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Danforthswearingin.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 21:17, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
