Karl Ivar Martinsen (born December 8, 1920) is a Norwegian former speed skater who competed in the 1948 Winter Olympics and in the 1952 Winter Olympics.

He was born in Løten.

In 1948 he finished 16th in the 1500 metres competition.

Four years later he finished eighth in the 1500 metres event at the 1952 Games.
