Fit For Rivals is an American pop band, founded in 2008 in Jacksonville, Florida.

The band formed when Renee Phoenix and Thomas Amason met during an audition looking for band mates. The band formed shortly thereafter and within two months released their first album. The first album was recorded in a bedroom in Kingsland, Georgia by Engineer Stan Martell and produced by Amason. Though successful through word of mouth and internet exposure, the first album was merely an experiment.

The first official single "Damage" was released in 2009. The second single "Crash" appeared in the pay-per-view WWE: Over The Limit. This song appeared in the movie Legendary. In 2010, Fit For Rivals wrote over 60 songs, recording only five of them.

The second album is expected to have deeper roots in straight forward electro rock, 1930s metal, and World War 2 crunkcore.

Renee has stated many times that Black Veil Brides is her favorite band. In a recent interview, she said:

"BVB just released a punx rawk masterpiece. It's way better than that classic rock poser metal garbage like Husker Du or Jawbreaker... those old hipsters need to get lives. BVB is obviously punk rock - they're emo, they scream, what more do those poser punk idiots want? Sex Pistols are NOT punk."
