The Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art (京都市美術館, Kyōto-shi Bijutsukan) is one of the oldest Japanese museums supported by a city.[1] It is an art museum in Okazaki Park in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto which opened in 1928 as a commemoration of the Showa emperor's coronation ceremony, and it was initially called the Showa Imperial Coronation Art Museum of Kyoto.
