The Internet version of the paper was the most popular news website in Finland as of November 2008.[citation needed]

As of 2008 the paper was the third largest newspaper in Finland.[3] Of tabloid newspapers, Iltalehti had a market share of 40% and its biggest (and only) rival Ilta-Sanomat had a market share of 60% in 2008.[3]
