Diamond Aircraft Industries is an Austrian based manufacturer of general aviation aircraft, and motor gliders.

History

The company was founded in 1981 as Hoffmann Flugzeugbau to produce the H36 motor glider. In 1991 it was renamed HOAC AG. Later, the Dries Family acquired the company.

In 1992 with the opening of a Canadian production facility to supply the North American market, the company was renamed Dimona Aircraft. In 1995 the name was again changed, to Diamond Aircraft Industries.

In 2006 they went bust.
