The Jeremy Kyle Show is controversial TV show on ITV1 in the daytime lineup, usually at 9:25am. Some critics argue that Jeremy simply uses gropage and popular sentences that carry no real weight in order to try and solve people's problems; others contest that actual useful suggestions and comments are made.
His show usually populated by young, working class couples with education and domestic issues, usually relationship problems between 18-25 year olds, reuniting family members, highlighting disability and it is a regular occurrence for guests to take DNA and lie detector tests. He has proven to be very popular with daytime TV viewers, and he comfortably achieved higher ratings than his predecessor Trisha Goddard's show on Five. So convincing were Kyle's head-to-head ratings that in late 2005 Trisha had her morning talkshow moved to a different timeslot because it was unable to compete.
