Jeremy Kyle (* 7. July 1965 in Reading , Berkshire , England ) is a British TV and talk show - moderator .

Kyle's father was an accountant and personal secretary to the Queenmum for forty years. Kyle had an older brother who later became a drug addict.

Kyle attended Reading Blue Coat School, a private school for boys, in Sonning, Berkshire.

Kyle's first job was at Marks & Spencer . He studied history and sociology at the University of Surrey at Guildford .

From 2004 he hosted the Jeremy Kyle Show , which ran Monday through Friday at 9:25 am on ITV . In May 2019 the program was discontinued by the broadcaster ITV. The reason for this was that a guest committed suicide after the broadcast because he was portrayed as a liar within the broadcast. It subsequently became known that other guests on the show and another show hosted by Kyle on Channel 5 , Britain's Worst Husband , had committed suicide.

Kyle was married to Kirsty Rowley from 1989 to 1991 and his second marriage to former model Carla Germaine from 2002 to 2016. From his first marriage he has a daughter and from the second two daughters and a son.
