Umarex air pistols are CO2 powered air gun replicas of real handguns manufactured by Umarex Sportwaffen of Germany under license from the manufacturers of the original firearms.
They are imported into the United States by Crosman Corporation.
Design
These air pistols use small disposable CO2 cartridges to propel conventional .177 calibre air pellets. The pellets are held in removable 8-round rotary magazines.
Even though the external appearances closely resemble the real equivalents, they are impossible to convert into real firearms.
They make licensed copies for manufacturers such as
- Walther (copies of Walther P88, Walther P99, Walther PPK)
- Beretta (copies of Beretta 92)
- Colt (copies of M1911A1
- Smith & Wesson (copies of Model 586 and 686)
