Alexi Giannoulias is the Democratic candidate for the Illinois State Treasurer in the 2006 election. He is the son of greek immigrants whose father founded the well known Broadway Bank in the late 1970's. The bank is under criticism for loans made to reputed mobsters while Giannoulias worked there.
