Julian Messner, Inc. was a publisher founded by Julian Messner in 1933. Its best-selling books included 1956's Peyton Place. In December 1964, the company was acquired by and became a division of Pocket Books.[1] Pocket was then acquired by Simon & Schuster in 1966.

When Julian Messner died in 1948, his ex-wife Kathryn G. Messner became president of the company until her death in August 1964.[2][3]
