Winfield Smith (August 16, 1827 – November 8, 1899) was Attorney General of Wisconsin and a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Biography

Smith was born in Fort Howard, Wisconsin on August 16, 1827.[1] He attended the University of Michigan. Smith died of angina pectoris in London on November 8, 1899.[2]

Career

Smith was Attorney General from 1862 to 1866. Later, he was a member of the Assembly during the 1872 session.[3] He was a Republican.
