Blessed Father Enrico Rebuschini[1][2][3] was a priest of the Order of Clerics Regular, Servants of the Sick (camillians). He was declared Blessed by Pope John Paul II[4].
Early life
He was born on 25 April 1860 in Gravedona, Como, Italy to Domenico and Sophia. He was second of the five children.
Education
He completed his studies in 1882. He was sent by Diocese to the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome to pursue ecclesiastical studies in 1884. In March 1886 Enrico was overcome by Nervous Depression[5].
Priestly life
He was referred to St. Camillus and to the Camillians by his vocation director. He joined novitiate in 1887 in Verona and was ordained a Catholic Priest on April 14, 1889 by The bishop of Mantua, Bishop Sarto, the future Pope Pius X. He was sent to the Camillian hospital in Cremona.
Death
He died on May 10, 1938.[6]
Beatification
He was declared 'Venerable' on 11 July 1995 and raised to the honor of the Blessed on May 4, 1997, at Saint Peter's Square, Vatican City by Pope John Paul II.[7][8][9][10]
