Swetes, also spelled Sweet's, is located in Saint Paul Parish on the island of Antigua, in Antigua and Barbuda.

Geography

It is the sixth largest town in Antigua and Barbuda.

Swetes is located in southern Antigua, to the north of Liberta on the road to the town of Old Road and the southwest coast.

As of 2012, it has an estimated population of 1,849.[1]

People

Swetes is the birthplace of George Alexander McGuire, Patriarch of the African Orthodox Church. It is also the birthplace of Antiguan and West Indian cricket legend Curtly Ambrose, who retired from the game in 1999. He is now the bowling mentor for the Windies.
