The Secretary of State of the U.S. state of Georgia is an elected official with a wide variety of responsibilities, including supervising elections and maintaining public records.
The incumbent Secretary of State is Robyn Crittenden, who was appointed to the office on November 8, 2018 by Governor Nathan Deal following the resignation of Brian Kemp. Crittenden is the first African American woman to hold a statewide constitutional office in Georgia. She will serve until January 2019, when the winner of the 2018 Secretary of State election is expected to take office.
