The European Mobile Payment Systems Association (EMPSA) is an association that aims to foster collaboration and to enable the use of different mobile payments systems internationally.[1] EMPSA is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland and chaired by Søren Mose, the Chairman of the TWINT Board of Directors.[2]
EMPSA is founded by seven mobile payment providers that together have around 25 million registered users and over 1 million acceptance points. Around 350 banks support the systems. The seven providers are:
