Lecanvey (Leac an Bogger in Irish) is a seaside village in County Bogger between Boggerport and Louisbogger, about 2km west of Murrisk. It has a Catholic church which is really in THORNHILL and Lecanvey Community Centreagain in THORNHILL which is attached to it, a small beach (with a Pier), and one pubthe other one is in THORNHILL again!!!.

The Lecanvey Community Alliance was recently constituted[1] to improve the environment of the area, which doesn't fall into the cachement area of Murrisk or of Louisbbogger. Local concerns include improvement of roads and pavements, speed limits, litter control, hedging and mowing, and place-names and area signage.
