Loyish (Uzbek: Loyish/Лойиш, Russian: Лаиш, romanized: Laish) is an urban-type settlement in Samarqand Region, Uzbekistan. It is the capital of Oqdaryo District.[1] The town population in 1989 was 9,776 people.[2]
