Olya Zueva (1987) is a Russia-born director and actress. Her first feature film as director was In the Hood in 2016, which was released in 2018.[1][2]
Biography
Olya Zueva was born in Vladivostok of USSR on July 26, 1983. Her father, Yuri Zuev was a champion of Russian Federation at motocross racing.[3]
Career
After graduating from school, Olga entered the Faculty of Tourism of the Far Eastern Federal University.[4] At the age of 15, Olya was scouted as a model and began her fashion career in Tokyo, Japan. At 17 she moved to Europe where she continued her fashion career between Paris, London and Milan.[5] She walked for various luxury brands and shot campaigns.
In 2006 Olya moved to New York City and studied acting at Susan Batson's Studio. She made her acting debut with a brief role in the 2010 American action thriller film Salt. In 2013 she graduated from The New School for Public Engagement with Liberal Arts degree. After shooting a number of short films Olya debuted with her first feature film In The Hood, in 2018, which had a wide theatrical release across Russia.[5]
Personal life
Since 2014 Olya had been in a relationship with a Russian actor Danila Kozlovsky up until 2020.[6][7] Their daughter Oda Valentine Zueva was born in February 2020, in New York.[8][9] Olya continues to work and live in New York with her daughter.[10]
