Danila Valerjewitsch Koslowski ( Russian Данила Валерьевич Козловский ; born   May 3, 1985 in Moscow ) is a Russian film and theater actor .

Life

Koslowski was born in Moscow as the second of three brothers. In his childhood and youth he occupied himself with dance, singing and played the saxophone and viola .

At the request of his parents, Koslowski attended a cadet school in Kronstadt , which he graduated in 2002. However, he had his first film appearance in 1994, where he played a cheeky sixth grader in the film "Prostyje istiny" (Простые истины, Eng. "Simple truths"). This supporting role was crucial for his career, as this film was decisive for his acceptance in 2003 at the Saint Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts . There he took an actor and director course under the direction of the Russian folk artist Lev Dodin . In 2007 he successfully completed his studies at the academy.

From the second semester at the academy, Koslowski played regularly in feature films. In 2006 he was awarded the "White Elephant" by the Russian Film Critics Society for his role in the film Garpastum .

Koslowski became more widely known among Russian-speaking viewers in 2008 with his leading role in the film My is budoschego (Мы из будущего, Eng . "We are from the future"). There he played the role of the predatory archaeologist Sergei Filatov (nickname Borman ), who, together with his friends, was transported back in time during the illegal excavations. Filatov and his friends went swimming in a lake and when they swam back on the bank they were suddenly in 1942, the time of the Great Patriotic War .

2010 followed a role in the thriller Odinotschka (Одиночка, Eng. "Single"). There he played the criminal Andrei Gromov.

In 2012 he played the role of the glamorous and moreless Moscow top manager Max Andrejew in the film Duchless (Духless, dt. "Geistlos"), which was co-produced by Universal Studios . Koslowski was awarded the "Golden Eagle" for the best male leading role and the film became known beyond the borders of Russia.

In 2013 he got a leading role in the film adaptation of the famous fantasy series by Richelle Mead . Filming began on May 27, 2013. In 2014 he played the role of Dimitri Belikov in the film Vampire Academy .

Koslowski belongs to the ensemble of the Maly Dramaturgietheater in Saint Petersburg .

Danila Koslowski was married to the Polish theater actress Urszula Magdalena Małka from 2008 to 2011 .

Danila has been dating actress and model Olga Zueva since 2014 . In March 2020, they became parents to a daughter.
