Talwandi Sabo is a town in the Bathinda district of the Indian state of Punjab. It holds a significant place in Sikh history and is one of the five Takhts in Sikhism. It's often referred to as Damdama Sahib, the seat of religious learning for Sikhs.

Talwandi Sabo is where Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, took refuge during his battles with the Mughals in the late 17th century. It is believed that the Guru stayed here for around a year and revised and dictated the final version of Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, to one of his disciples. This earned the place the title of "Guru Ki Kashi".

The Takht Sri Damdama Sahib is the main Gurudwara in Talwandi Sabo and is an important pilgrimage site for Sikhs. The town also hosts large celebrations during major Sikh festivals.

Talwandi Sabo is also known for its educational institutions, including a private university named after Guru Gobind Singh, and for a thermal power plant.

However, information and developments beyond my last training cut-off in September 2021 might not be included here, so I recommend checking the most recent and local sources for accurate and updated information.

It is also famous for its Baisakhi, which is celebrated on 13 April every year. Baisakhi, also known as Vaisakhi, is a significant festival celebrated in the Punjab region of India and by Sikhs worldwide. The celebration usually occurs on April 13 or 14 each year, marking the start of the harvest season and the founding of the Khalsa community in Sikhism.
