South Medford is the southern part of Medford, Massachusetts. The neighborhood is predominantly Italian American and residents commonly speak a dialect of Boston English called "Medfordici", which is very similar to the dialect of "Medfordese". Numerous minority nationalities reside in South Medford with the two fastest growing groups being the Brazilians and Haitians.

South Medford was founded together with Medford in 1630, making it the 4th oldest English settlement in North America.
