Dean Schlicter's quotation: "Go down deep enough into anything and you will find mathematics." FAQ1. What are your recent activities?Studies. I am very enthusiastic about studying mathematics, becoming a scientific researcher and a good member of the scientific community. Because I think science is good for solving almost any kind of problems, as well as for exploring the universe and contributing to the Wolrd's harmonious progress(, which is what I want to do in my life). 2. What does your nickname mean?I explain it here: http://concept.wikia.com/wiki/Inyuki 3. What question you are most curious about? How did the Universe came into existence? 4. What do you think of singularitarianism?I think the concept of technological singularity is really worth exploring, and the singularity itself is very promissing. Also, I agree very much on that we must create a superior machine intelligence before we create the nanotechnology to avoid it's dangers. 5. Why did you start learning Japanese? To put it simply, because I've had thoughts of becoming a Japanese. Being a child, I could see the surprisingly intelligent behaviour of Japanese in various areas starting from their products and technologies, and ending with their culture. I felt a strong [agreement] with, preference and interest in the way they do it. When I was around 12-14 years old, while I was thinking a lot of my identity, I had this thought: "Well, as I am still young, I have a right to choose a country I want to identify myself with!", and having strongly decided "I choose Japan!", the first step of my plan was to master the Japanese. I don't think that choosing an identity is something very unusual or rare for normal people: respectively from one's family, one does choose a company, and become a loyal to it. This is why I have studied Japanese language, wanting to become a member of the country Japan. However, after about 1 year of studies in Japan, I felt that I have become much more an internationalist. For me, it means that I am much more concerned about the global problems, reciprocal love between nations, or becoming a "Citizen of the World." A quotation I liked: Reality exists because we're aware of it. We are creating the Universe by perceiving it and by choosing which Universe we want to be in. |
