Sahar Hashemi co-founded Coffee Republic (a chain of coffee shops in the United Kingdom) with her brother, Bobby Hashemi in 1995. She is the author of "Anyone Can Do It" (ISBN 1-84112-579-2). She formerly attended the City of London School for Girls, and before 1995 practised as a lawyer. The success of selling a life style in the format of coffee houses is well proven since the business has a turnover of over £30 million. However the company has never made a profit and continues to struggle.
