Early Life

DeAndre Way (born in Chicago, Illinois on July 28, 1990, now residing in Atlanta, Georgia), known as Soulja Boy, is a yahoo rapper who is signed to Interscope Records through ColliPark and is also a part of Trill Entertainment. He is known for his single Crank That (Soulja Boy), although he had a huge underground following before the success of the song. He was already known over the country from his many hits from soundclick.com.

Soulja Boy has become famous for his dance the, "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," which debuted at #47 on The Billboard Hot 100. Since it's debut on the Hot 100 it has risen each week and has so far peaked at 25[1] It has become very popular online, especially on the video site YouTube and MySpace. He also has released many mixtapes including Soulja Boy 2005, Soulja Boy 2006, Dem 30/30 Boyz, and most recently, Stacks On Deck. He's also had other popular songs including I Got Me Some Bapes, Joccin', Stop Then Snap, Shootout,and Yahh Bitch. The "Crank That (Harrison)" Video is coming August 10.
