David Huff (drummer)

David Lyndon Huff (born ????) is a well-known drummer, songwriter and producer. His brother, Dann Huff, is also a musician. Although David has worked on numerous projects alone and with famous artists, he might be remembered for starting the 80's hard rock band, Giant, along with his brother.

Biography

David was born and raised in a musically gifted family. His father, Ronn Huff, was a conductor and arranger. From an early age, David showed interest in music. He got his first drum set when he was in third grade and that set him up on the career he followed.

In high school, David was already working as a session musician. He moved to Los Angeles where he recorded and toured for several artists. When he was 20, he formed the Christian band White Heart together with his brother Dann and other musicians.

In 1985, David and his brother left to form hard rock band Giant. Despite scoring a massive hit with the single "I'll See You In My Dreams", the band was mostly unsuccessful. Moving back to Nashville, David started experimenting with world music, putting together two albums of the genre before releasing his own in 2000.

David and his brother have produced albums for successful artists.
