Shu-Roo
A Shu-Roo is a high pitched sound generator marketed in Australia. The device is fitted to the front of a vehicle with the intention of scaring off kangaroos and other wildlife while travelling in rural areas.
The output is inaudible to most humans because the output is at higher frequencies than most people can hear.
Independent testing
Independent testing carried out by the Department of Zoology at the University of Melbourne concluded that The promotional literature proclaiming the scientifically proven efficacy of this ultrasonic deterrence device, the Shu Roo, grossly exaggerates its capabilities.[1]
