Location of Caranaíba whitin Minas Gerais

Caranaíba is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Minas Gerais. Its population as of 2006 is estimated to be 3,487 people living in an altitude between 700 meters and 1,231 meters. The area of the municipality is 160.022km². The city belongs to the mesoregion of Campo das Vertentes and to the microregion of Barbacena.
