The addition of a reference to the play made by David Tyree in Super Bowl 42 should be removed for two reasons:
1) It does logically warrant appearing alongside the Dwight Clark play. Should it also appear in full on the entry page for the hail mary made by Boston College or the "Immaculate Reception" the Steelers accomplished? No one is doubting the fantastic nature of the Giants play, but it does not belong on this page intended to describe ONE SPECIFIC PLAY in sports history.
2) The play itself has yet to be categorized, labeled or "come to be known as" "the catch 2." The name is obviously a fan creation, not a historical pop culture creation. Until there is a pop culture consensus, Wikipedia (an 'ENCYCLOPEDIA') cannot logically allow the play to be referenced as such. If it does, then this opens the door for anyone to label any play in any sports with any name they choose: Before long, the Wikipedia would be cluttered with "the game" entries and "the hit" entries.
The play itself needs to be woven into the Super Bowl 42 entry until it transcends the Super Bowl itself in sports history/pop culture, thereby warranting its own entry. That has not occurred yet, and may or may not happen.

- You're right. The play yesterday was certainly reminiscent of "The Catch", but it wouldn't have mattered without the touchdown catch that followed later. "The Catch" was a playoff-game-deciding touchdown pass. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 20:10, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- In this writeup, they call it "The Play", which is kind of generic, but also suggests that they know "The Catch" is already "taken": [1] Oddly enough, "the play" was stated at least 4 times in the above comments. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 10:33, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
