Huggle Category Problem

Hi there. You are receiving this message from me as you have not added your huggle category correctly. At the moment on category here you can see that you are sorted under the letter U. To fix this please change the [[Category:Wikipedians who use Huggle]] to [[Category:Wikipedians who use Huggle|YOURNICKNAMEHERE]]. This will fix the problem. If you do not change this within a few days then i will do this for you but i would prefer to send you a message like this than just go and change your page. If you want to contact me then please use my talk page as i will not be checking back here. Thanks for your help. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 16:47, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help on Kids Reading Circle

Hi,

I have a nonprofit web site that encourages reading for children. It has won awards and PBS has praised it and has posted a link to it on Reading Rainbows. I have tried to put an informative article about it in Wikipedia and it keeps getting deleted. Can you tell me how to make it stand? Kidsreads.com has a similar article that is in Widipedia and apparently isn't being deleted..

Thanks, Kidschoosebooks (talk) 14:03, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

not sure what's happening...

I've received 3 different messages from three different users concerning unconstructive edits. The one from you concerned the article Mary (Mother of Jesus) and the other two were concerning some Romeo and Juliet film and a professional football player named Tom Malone. The problem is that I haven't edited any of these articles and I'm not sure I've even read them. I would like to know where the mistake lies and should I change my password? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Superman8012 (talkcontribs) 03:18, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

It is really starting to agrivate me because you choose to delete all the information I post on the Livonia wikipedia page along with the clarenceville district page. I live in the Livonia community and I use to attend Clarenceville district schools, so for you to keep deleting my edits is making me mad and it frustrates me. I have heard in recent news about the bigfoot sightings and it's my duty to serve the community. So could you please quit deleting all my edits, I know what I am talking about because it's been on the news recently. Thanks.

Well I am sorry, but I am not to familiar with wikipedia so I have no clue on how I can do that. I really want this information to stay on there and you keep removing it. If there is a creature inside those woods it's best to get this information out. As far as I know people read wikipedia all the time around here. So I don't understand why you can't just leave it at that, I really don't know much about this website. So could you please just leave it alone?

Mega Force

Hi. I got a message from you saying the Mega Force page is marked for deletion. I'm new to this so you'll have to forgive me. I inadvertently created two Mega Force articles, one called "Mega force" and the other called "Mega Force." My intention is to create the "Mega Force" page and have the "Mega force" version removed.

Also, I am kind of confused on your citation policy. Do webpages count as citations if they don't include published content?

My goal is to create a page detailing the Mega Force line of toys produced by Kenner.

Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the quick reply.

So you can't do it as a normal table a such.

And if not, how would it be practical in an article.

(I'm was planning to use it in Brisbane Broncos Stadiums for Win % and Average Crowds.)

Not in a normal table, but if you use a template for each row, like I showed you, it is possible. If you have difficulty creating the template for it, or are confused, give me a shout and I'll see what I can do. Now I must go to bed :) Stwalkerstertalk ] 00:03, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for voicing concern over one of my reverts. Unfortunately, your edits appeared to be vandalism, and as I can revert many, many instances of vandalism very quickly, I scan over the changes each article in less than 2 seconds usually. I apologise if I have made a mistake in this instance. I have reverted my edit to the article. Stwalkerstertalk ] 21:25, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re

Wow, you have quite a user page and talk page. I thought you should leave raw signature unchecked because I just did a quick test to see if that worked. Raw signature also states that it will automatically link to your user page, not talk page, which caused me to think that a talk page link would not work. Now I understand. Watch your back

I don't think that 12.74.23.130 likes you very much O_O, being that I've reverted a bunch of his edits on User:Stwalkerster/Notices where he has called you all sorts of profane things. Also, I have reported him to AIV for personal attacks and vandalism so hopefully he will be blocked soon. In the meantime watch your back because I have a feeling that until he is blocked he will keep on vandalizing your user space. Cheers,--Mifter (talk) 19:14, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jarden / Hatnote

Thanks for your quick help on this. In this case the hatnote probably isn't the best way to do this, since there is no relationship between Jarden Corporation and Richards Harmer Jarden - they just have the name Jarden in common.

Is there a tutorial someplace for how to create a disambiguation page and then link the two entries into it?

I took another look at this, and if you enter Jarden in the search box and hit Go you get Jarden Corporation - along with your Hatnote. If you hit Search instead there are a whole lot of Jarden entries.

I guess the idea here is that when there are multiple entries someone is supposed to take the responsibility to create a disambiguation page and then move everything there? The absence of this page seems to happen alot in Wikipedia - so I guess in many cases nobody wants to be the one to do it? I'm totally new to this so I don't think I'm qualified - your Hatnote may be the best solution after all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Intararts (talkcontribs) 17:46, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Richards Harmer "Dix" Jarden

The page I wrote has disappeared. Can you help me understand why? Doesn't appear under My Contributions.

Thanks.

Intararts (talk) 12:59, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It appears that the article has been deleted: You can see the entry in the deletion log here if you wish. You might be better contacting the administrator who acutally deleted the article, which can be found in the deletion log. I hope this helps, Stwalkerstertalk ] 13:02, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your quick response. I did contact the administrator who deleted it, but haven't gotten a response yet - he seems to be in Australia - don't know what time it is there. He's a military History person - so I assume that my notes about WWII are the problem. In my message I told him I would be happy to revise that part - I'm not claiming military significance, it's just a factual part of the overall story. Isn't there a way to indicate facts - i.e. Captain in the 154Th Engineers in the Palau Islands in WW II - without trying to claim that they have military significance?

Northern Middlesex High School vandalism

Wow.... that's just....wow. That's just ridiculous. Good job with the reverts, keep on it. --Amaraiel (talk) 14:11, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Of late too many vandalization attempts were made on this page. Today, it is reaching a new extreme. Can something be done on this? Is it possible to block all users who uses ipaddress and not usernames? Just a thought! Does it make sense to keep the page protected for now? Thanks.GDibyendu (talk) 18:42, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure - file a request at WP:RFPP for semi-protection, and an admin (experienced in protection) will review your request, and likely protect the page. Stwalkerstertalk ] 19:53, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have just noticed that Jason Oakes, a professional rugby union player, playing in the elite English competition has been deleted. This would imply significance of the article as covered under Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Athletes. I have not imbued the article with hyperbole as to do so would be detracting from a neutral stance. Can I please request the article be re-instated.Londo06 22:35, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also Andy Perry has fallen by the wayside, could I also request this article be re-instated.Londo06 22:37, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My advice would be to make the notability clearer. (restoration in progress...) Stwalkerstertalk ] 22:41, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for the restoration. I have spoken to other admin about this and they have said that the wording used by myself is fine as it is a tacit acknowledgment that they are a professional player in an elite competition, with a link to verify that fact. I open to suggestions on the wording, but I added the articles with a neutral stance and am unsure about how to add a standard article without imbuing a status that is not theirs to lay claim to.Londo06 22:50, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think the best thing would be to flesh out the articles with details of their former clubs, national allegiance, etc. Will work to do that at some point in the future.Londo06 22:58, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Glad I could help in this issue, and I apologise for deleting them in the first place. I'm new to this adminship thing :P Stwalkerstertalk ] 23:00, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I can easily understand, it is only a two line article. Many thanks for the reinstatement.Londo06 23:01, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
