Fernando Ortiz Zóbel July 16, 1951 Filipino businessman hailing from the prominent Spanish-descent Zobel de Ayala family of the Philippines. He graduated from Harvard University in 1975.

Central Azucarera (Familia Zobel) is a subsidiary of the Ayala corporate group and is one of the nation's leading sugar investment and management companies. The integrated milling and refinery complex accounts for a major share of sugar products marketed in the Philippines and internationally.

Starting with two crushers and nine rolls, the company expanded in 1925 to three mills. After WWII, it added another three mills in line with its philosophy of growth. Expansion and modernization continued in the 1970s with the installation of sophisticated milling and refinery equipment, enabling the company to become one of the biggest raw sugar mills in the Far East.

Married to Consuelo Gracia Austria (nee Beltran) of Laguna. Their only son, Carlos, was educated in Germany and Singapore. A first class honours degree holder and fluent in four languages, he is widely expected to take over the reigns of the company.

Ranked 12th among wealthiest Filipinos, the family manages the agricultural and industrial holdings of the Zobel group of companies.
