The University of Wisconsin Law School is located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, WI. The law school was founded in 1868.


The law school building

The law school is situated on Bascom Hill at the middle of the Madison campus. The building was recently renovated to incorporate two adjacent buildings into a single building.

From the law library, the Wisconsin Capitol building is visible.

Law in action

The law school is known for its law in action legal philosophy. The law school believes that law is to be taught as it relates to society.
