Tamara Gee

Isis Gee (born Tamara Diane Wimer on October 11, 1972 in Seattle) is an American pop singer, songwriter, and composer currently residing in Poland.

Biography

Isis was born in Seattle, Washington, USA as Tamara Diane Wimer. She featured in two minor jazz albums. She worked in Asia as a backing singer with a jazz trio performing with McCoy Tyner (John Coltrane, Stanley Clarke, Bill Evans). After moving to Los Angeles, Isis worked with song writer Steve Dorff. In 2004 she married Adam Gołębiowski and moved to Warsaw, Poland.

Her solo career began when she arrived in Poland with her first debut album entitled Hidden Treasure in 2007. Simon Gogerly assisted and mixed the entire Hidden Treasure album, as well as her latest single For Life. Isis appointed KK to co-produce a couple of her tracks on the album. The Hidden Treasure album was Mastered by Tim Young at Metropolis Studios London, England.

In 2007 Isis worked with German DJ Schiller (Christopher von Deylen). Schiller and Isis co-wrote the song Fate. Isis is featured singing Fate on Schiller’s new album "Sensucht".

In 2007 Isis Gee took part in Taniec z Gwiazdami (Dancing with the stars) on TVN.

Eurovision Song Contest

Isis Gee's song "For Life" was chosen from among over one hundred songs as one of twelve entries to participate in Piosenka dla Europy, the Polish national final for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. During the live broadcast on February 23, 2008, her entry was selected to represent Poland at Eurovision 2008.

She was the first Polish participant to qualify to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest from the semi-finals. In the final, "For Life" was awarded 14 points. Isis Gee placed 24th in a field of 25, receiving points from the United Kingdom and Ireland. [1]
