help me!!!

hi, im MidKnighttheDarkHunter. i can't seem to get to my page, so i created a new account. has it been hacked or something? listen, toaster, I need you to back me up on this page, and also, how do you adopt me? It's really confusing. thanks!

Hey MidKnighttheDarkHunter. If you want to use your other account, I'm sure we can figure out what's going on. Wikipedia keeps an archive of all changes, so none of your data or edits are really lost. I'm a bit confused about the problem though: what page can you not get to? Your Talk page should be here, and your userpage should be here. About adoption: I'm going to leave a tag on your userpage that says you have been adopted. You can read it at [[1]]. I'll put a similar tag on my userpage in a similar way. You can always remove this tags if you don't want to be adopted anymore, or just don't want it on your user page. Sound good?  :) -FlyingToaster (talk) 17:28, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for the save!

thanks, but you can call me MKH for short. also, anybody who talks on Toasters page is welcome here!(or anybody who isn't a mingebag, as a matter of fact) =) MidKnightHunter (talk) 21:11, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

chat?

Hey MidKnightHunter. This isn't really a good place to just chat back and forth. I'm happy to answer any questions you have here, but if you're looking for more of a chat-like style about Wikipedia, you may want to try the IRC channel #wikipedia on freenode. -FlyingToaster (talk) 00:44, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 00:47, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How to Make a New Page

To make a new page, just use the search box at the left to search for the page you want to create. If it doesn't exist already in Wikipedia, you will see a link to "Create the page." If you click that, you'll get a text box to write the article in. Before you get started, it may help to read this page, which describes what kinds of subjects are notable enough to write an article on. Good luck! -FlyingToaster (talk) 17:16, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please use people's Discussion pages

Hey MidKnightHunter - please make sure that you leave notes for people on their Discussion pages, and not on their user pages. This is a discussion page - you can tell because the Discussion tab at the top is highlighted. Your comment [[2]], however, was on the User page and should be on the Discussion page. Don't worry, it's an easy mistake to make. :) -FlyingToaster (talk) 17:31, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How to connect to IRC

See this tutorial if you are not familiar with IRC. If you are, the server is irc.freenode.net and the main room is #wikipedia

Pages

I'm fine helping you out by talk pages, it's a better place for links and things you want to refer back to. -FlyingToaster (talk) 18:03, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No Prob

I see you correctly fixed the user page/discussion thing - very awesome, looks like you've figured that one out. Also, I'm female. -FlyingToaster (talk) 18:15, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

Hey thanks! As for garry's mod, I haven't used it personally, though I have seen it at a friend's house. I don't do much PC gaming because I have a laptop with a crappy integrated graphics card. (didn't realize it had no expansion slots when I got it :( ). still, I do enjoy my PS3 when I find the time to use it (and tbh, LittleBigPlanet looks pretty similar to garry's mod; the only reason I'm considering not getting it is because I really have to stuff other than play video games once in while. ;) and Wikipedia takes up a good portion of that time... ¬_¬). Thanks again. talk to you later. Thingg 18:23, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

lol. no I mean it doesn't have any way for me to upgrade it's graphics card at all. like it doesn't have a port on the motherboard for a dedicated graphics card. btw, do you have gmail? It would probably be smarter to chat in there (I don't have AIM) rather than onwiki. my address is coastermaniac [at] gmail [dot] com if you want to add me. Hey

Hey MidKnightHunter. I haven't played Gmod or TF yet, I don't have a great gaming computer at the moment. I'm a bit busy to talk beyond on IRC right now. Good luck on your first article! -FlyingToaster (talk) 00:40, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
