Svetlana Vladimirovna Medvedeva (Russian: Светлана Владимировна Медведева, née Linnik, Линник) (born March 15, 1965), is the wife of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Marriage to President

Medvedeva became first lady when her husband, Dmitry Medvedev, took over as president on 7 May 2008 following his election victory. She has already caused something of a media frenzy even though she shies away from photographers and does not give interviews.[1] She started dating the president when they were both around 14 at school 305 in their home town of St Petersburg. They married in 1989.
