Eric Spear

Eric Spear (1908 – 3 November 1966) was an English composer of film music.

Spear's is best known for composing the original title music (or theme tune) for the UK's longest running soap opera, Coronation Street. The theme tune has never changed in the last 44 years, and is very recognisable.
