Waikoloa Village is a census-designated place located in Hawaiʻi County, Hawaiʻi. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 4,806.

Waikoloa Village is located at 19°56'29" North, 155°47'34" West (19.941445, -155.792655)Template:GR.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 49.6 km² (19.1 mi²). 49.6 km² (19.1 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 4,806 people, 1,750 households, and 1,225 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 96.9/km² (251.1/mi²). There are 2,057 housing units at an average density of 41.5/km² (107.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 45.92% White, 0.48% African American, 0.21% Native American, 16.65% Asian, 9.20% Pacific Islander, 1.46% from other races, and 26.09% from two or more races. 8.99% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 1,750 households out of which 41.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.5% are married couples living together, 13.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.0% are non-families. 19.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.74 and the average family size is 3.15.

In the CDP the population is spread out with 29.9% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 34.2% from 25 to 44, 23.0% from 45 to 64, and 6.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 104.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 101.0 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP is $50,040, and the median income for a family is $55,222. Males have a median income of $36,134 versus $30,881 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $21,328. 10.4% of the population and 8.6% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 14.2% of those under the age of 18 and 1.8% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
