Leonel Galeano (born 2 August 1991 in Miramar) is an Argentine football defender who plays for Independiente.
Career
Club career
Galeano made his professional debut on 21 August 2009 in a 0-1 home defeat to Newell's Old Boys. He soon established himself as a regular member of Américo Gallego's first team squad during the Apertura 2009 tournament. He scored his first goal for the club on 18 October 2009 in a 1-1 draw with Chacarita Juniors. He converted very fast in one of the best players of the tournament, with a great level, and only 18 years, this caused many clubs put their eye on the young player, Including Inter and Roma from Italy.
International career
Galeano made his debut for the Argentina national team after being called up to join Diego Maradona's squad of Argentina based players who beat Jamaica 2-1 on 10 February 2010.
