The Terex Titan was a massive Canadian earth-hauling lorry prototype built by General Motors. It had an empty weight of 235 tonnes, and a maximum loaded weight of 550 tonnes. It was driven by a 3300 horsepower engine. It is 66 feet long and 27 and a half feet tall (56 feet tall when dump box extended). Built in 1978, it was retired from service at a coal mine in 1990 and is located in Sparwood, British Columbia. (The modern Leibherr T 282B truck has smaller dimensions and smaller mass, but larger load capacity.)
